Time constraints

Time constraints.

  • We only had a short amount of time to film many scenes
  • We also had to move around to different locations which took time
  • Writing the script
  • Setting up the location
  • Sourcing the equipment
  • Going through and editing the footage, and sound
  • Time to find and audition actors

Producing a media product always has a deadline like any project.

If not met, could lead to failure, financial loss.

Timescales work in reverse from the ultimate deadline, e.g. the release date of a movie.

Within this overall timescale, the project may also have time constraints linked to:

  • Location film set/TV show
  • Studio- recording
  • Equipment (borrowed/rented)
  • Staff like actors/writers (other commitments)
  • Catering/services (budget allows for limited time)
